Equalizer for Chrome browser
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Introduction
Equalizer for Chrome browser ("the Extension") is a browser extension that lets you adjust audio with a 10-band equalizer, genre presets, and a bass booster on websites that play sound. This Privacy Policy explains how the Extension handles information.
The developer has disclosed that the Extension does not collect or use your data. Equalizer settings are stored locally in your browser.
Single purpose
Audio Equalizer lets you adjust the balance between frequency components by 10 band controls.
All permissions and locally stored data serve only this core audio equalization functionality. The Extension does not perform unrelated tasks such as advertising, profiling, or data collection.
Information the Extension stores locally
When you use the Extension, the following may be stored on your device only:
- Equalizer band levels and selected presets
- Custom user-created preset profiles
- Extension settings and UI preferences
- Your chosen display language code
This information is used solely to apply your audio equalizer settings and is not uploaded to developer servers.
Information the Extension does not collect
The Extension does not:
- Collect names, email addresses, or account identifiers
- Log your browsing history or page content
- Send analytics or telemetry to developer servers
- Use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs
- Record or transmit the audio content you listen to
How information is used
Any data stored by the Extension is used only for its single purpose: adjusting browser tab audio through equalizer controls and saved presets.
We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to this core functionality.
Data sharing and sale
We confirm the following, as required by the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies:
- We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, except in the limited situations permitted by applicable law (for example, if compelled by a valid legal request). Under normal operation, no user data is transferred.
- We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the operation or improvement of the Extension's core audio equalizer functionality.
- We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising.
Chrome Web Store compliance
This Extension complies with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including requirements for user privacy, limited use of data, and responsible permission usage.

Data retention and deletion
