Google SERP Scrapper

Last updated: May 20, 2025

What is Google SERP Scrapper?

Google SERP Scrapper is a Chrome extension that helps you manually extract structured search results from Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). You can view results as JSON or a list, filter by keywords, preview items, and export data as JSON, CSV, Markdown, or plain URL lists.

Single purpose

This Extension provides a single, focused purpose: extracting search results easily from Google SERPs that you open and scrape on demand.

The Extension does not collect or transmit personal browsing data to developer-operated servers. The Chrome Web Store listing discloses that the developer will not collect or use your data.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Google SERP Scrapper ("the Extension") handles information.

Scraped search results are processed in your browser for viewing and export under your control. Extension settings are stored locally on your device.

Data stored on your device

When you use the Extension, chrome.storage may keep:

  • UI preferences such as dark mode and panel visibility options
  • Custom CSS selectors and which SERP fields to extract or export
  • Other local configuration needed for the floating panel and export tools

This data stays on your device. Scraped result sets you copy or download are created by you and are not uploaded by the Extension to a developer backend.

Information the Extension does not collect

The Extension does not:

  • Sell or broker personal data
  • Send analytics or telemetry to external developer servers under the store disclosure
  • Use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs for this product purpose
  • Request host access beyond Google search pages needed for scraping

Permissions explained

  • storage - Save selectors, field selection, export preferences, and UI settings between sessions
  • Host access (Google Search only) - Read the Google SERP page you open so the Extension can extract the result fields you choose to scrape

Host access

Host permission is limited to Google search pages. The Extension needs this access to parse the visible SERP markup when you click scrape.

The Extension does not claim broad access to unrelated websites for this single purpose.

Data sharing and sale

We confirm the following, as required by the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies:

  • We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, except in the limited situations permitted by applicable law.
  • We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the operation or improvement of the Extension's core SERP extraction functionality.
  • We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Remote code

The Extension does not use remote code. All executable code is included in the Extension package and is not loaded from external sources at runtime.

Data retention and deletion

  • Local settings remain on your device until you change them, clear extension data, or uninstall the Extension.
  • Exported files you save outside the browser are under your control.

Children's privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
